AI Video Generation API Pricing
Sora, Veo, Runway, Kling, Vidu, Hailuo and Wan all meter differently — per second, per credit, or per finished clip. Every rate here is normalised to US dollars per second of output so you can see which one is actually cheaper.
18 models from 10 vendors, $0.05 to $0.40 per second — a 8× spread for the same one-second output.

The cheapest rung of the Veo ladder — previews, animated thumbnails and batch drafts.
The speed-optimised Gen-4 variant at a fifth of the cost — fast look-dev and high-volume output.
Pika leans into effects and stylised transitions, and is one of the cheapest first-tier video APIs per second.
The accelerated Q3 tier — same 16-second clips and native audio, the cheapest way to get long single generations.
MiniMax's Hailuo video model — natural facial performance and camera work, one of the most-used video APIs in the Chinese market.
Kuaishou's current flagship — the steadiest human motion and physics among Chinese models, at a third of Western rates.
How these prices are normalised
Video APIs meter in three incompatible units: per second of output, per prepaid credit, and per finished clip. To make them comparable, every model is converted to US dollars per second of generated video, with the vendor's native unit kept alongside so the number can be checked. Rates are the standard pay-as-you-go API prices at each vendor's baseline resolution — subscription tiers and credit-bundle discounts are excluded.
